Meet Garrett
Garrett Whitfield is the founder of Homewrks, a residential construction firm specializing in custom homes and high-end remodels throughout Southern California. With nearly two decades of experience, he brings a strong foundation in engineering, large-scale project delivery, and a highly personalized, client-focused approach.
A Newport Beach native, Garrett earned his degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Southern California before beginning his career with leading commercial builders including Bovis Lend Lease, Webcor, Sundt, and Questar. His work contributed to landmark projects such as the JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton Residences at L.A. Live and the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. He also developed the Glendora Public Market, a vibrant food hall that has become a local destination.
Today, Garrett focuses on thoughtfully designed residential construction, serving as both builder and strategic partner throughout the process. He provides expert guidance across design, construction, and budgeting—helping clients make informed decisions that enhance both livability and long-term value.
